Description

To celebrate the space mission InSight successfully landing on Mars and starting to explore, have some fun on the InSight website (http://marsatschool.ethz.ch/en/mission/index.html) and try the activities.

Resources

Option 1 - a sheet and coloured pencils, watercolour, paint.
Option 2 - water, flour, coarse salt, spices or food colouring.
Option 3 - same as #1 as well as some string and some sticks for hanging.
Option 4 - paper and colouring pencils.
Option 5 - paper, pen and maybe a musical instrument

Instructions

To contribute to your Space Badge, try one of the following activities and send in photos to show us your creations:
Option 1 - A very simple first drawing of the solar system with the names of all the planets, in order. Materials: a sheet and coloured pencils, watercolour, paint.
Option 2 - Something more accomplished (small sculpture), in salt dough with colouring or spices to give a little colour to the planets. Try to put the distances between the balls while keeping a certain proportionality. Materials: water, flour, coarse salt, spices or food colouring.
Option 3 - A cut-out of the planets after drawing to make a mobile.
Option 4 - A card game with the planets by creating an identity card for each of the planets (maybe make up some scoring system to use as trumps cards)
Option 5 - A poem or a song using the names of the planets and the star of the solar system

Please try as many as you like and make sure to take photos to upload so we know that you have attempted something!
