Decorating eggs using a theme
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
Decorating eggs with a twist. Scouts have to be creative to represent a theme given to them. And be scored - strictly style
Using zoom with Scouts in their own homes.
Resources
Scouts to have an egg:
Option one
Have a fresh or hard boiled egg ready.
Option two
Blow an egg - this site will show you how to. And have it ready for the meeting
Option three
Draw an egg onto a piece of paper, or have a 3D egg shape from a craft shop.
Step two (all options)
During the meeting we will ask you to decorate it with paint, pens, stickers, felt, glitter or whatever else takes your fancy.
Plus three pieces of paper and a pen or pencil each
Instructions
This activity can be done over a zoom or similar meeting with Scouts in their own home.
Pre-warn parents to get an egg - raw, hard-boiled, craft/fake, blown, or drawn on a piece of paper. It does not matter quite what.
Gave them two minutes to (1) get an egg (see above), (2) get some decorating material, (3) get three pieces of paper, about the size of a playing card and (4) a pen or paper.
Scouts to write 1, 2 and 3 on each of the pieces of paper. These eventually became the scoring system - a bit like in Strictly
Give each Scout a theme. There are ideas in the attached powerpoint/pdf. Put the themes inside a hat. We picked a Scout a draw out a theme for them.
Give them 10/15 minutes to decorate their egg.
Then admire them one by one and get the Scouts to scored them.
