Description

A variation on the hot air balloon moral dilemma activity.
5 characters - important jobs/roles in society - each character must argue their case NOT to be thrown out.

Resources

Nothing - just your ideas for the people. I've created a PowerPoint to use on Zoom with my choice of 5 people - can be adapted as desired. You could allocate the roles to people yourself or you could put the characters on paper and get kids to draw them out.

Instructions

Split into groups of 5 ( if less just drop a character from the task ), allocate each person a character and then give them 10/15 minutes to argue their cases out as to why they are too important to society to be thrown out.
Hopefully in this scenario they will realise that they can all survive if they're clever....another lesson to learn on finding alternative solutions to problems.
In Zoom this could be done in groups using breakout rooms.
