Instructions on how to make rainmakers and drums, which can then be used in a performance, to cover performance for international activity badge
Resources
For the Rainmakers you will need:
cardboard tube (kitchen roll inner, or wrapping paper inner, or two toilet roll inners joined together)
Tin foil
sellotape
greaseproof paper (cupcake cases would work, if not just use normal paper)
paper to cover (optional)
rice or grains
For the Drums you will need:
Clean tin can
balloon
tape (can use sellotape, but insulation tape works better)
paper to decorate
Instructions
For Rainmakers:
1. If not using cupcake cases. cut two circles, both larger than the end of your cardboard tube, from the paper (greaseproof if using).
2. Cover one end of the cardboard tube with one of the cupcake cases or one of the circles of paper, using tape to secure it.
3. Make a scrunched up snake with the tin foil and place it inside the cardboard tube
4. Place 2 spoonfuls of rice or grains in the tube
5. Seal the other end of the tube with the remaining cupcake case or circle of paper and sellotape.
6. you can cover or decorate your tube
For Drums:
1. Cut the neck off a balloon
2. Place tightly over the top of the tin can
3. Secure in place using tape or an elastic band
4. Decorate as required
