Description

Given the current circumstances surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement, and its link with Lord Baden-Powell (founder of Scouting) and the possible removal of his Statue at Poole Quay, we thought it was a good opportunity to have an open and honest discussion (in a sensitive and Beaver-friendly way that they can relate to) around Privilege & Racism. We linked this to the Community Impact Badge Identify and Learn requirements.

We did this via Zoom during COVID19 lockdown. June 2020.

Resources

Beavers will need:

· Something to use as points e.g a pack of cards, tokens, coins, smarties etc.
· A pack of crayons / pens / pencils in various colours and paper.

Leaders will need:
· Session Plan
· Queue Cards
