Description
A circle game. Person has a prompt card noun and the others each get 1 question each to work out what they are.
Resources
some prompt cards with a noun written on each. Vary them from small (a woodlouse) to large (the moon), from living (a golden eagle, oak tree etc) to mineral (a bridge, a post box).
Instructions
Give out one prompt card per Beaver / Cub. Check to make sure that they know what their object is.
The first person stands up and says, "What am I?"
Go around the circle clockwise, allowing each person to either make a guess or ask a question to narrow it down for the others. Questions may be: Are you an animal? Are you smaller than a car? Do you have four legs? Are you found in the sea? Do you fly? etc.
Encourage them to listen to the questions and answers that others are using so they don't ask the same question again or ask something irrelevant. For example - if the answer to "Are you an insect?" was yes, then "Are you bigger than a house?" would be a wasted question.
After a few goes they begin to hone their questioning so they ask good questions which narrow down the possibilities. Whoever guesses correctly gets to use their prompt card and the questioning continues clockwise from that point. Repeat several times so everybody gets several turns at either using their prompt card or questioning / guessing.
If nobody guesses all the way around the circle, then the next person clockwise gets their turn. If somebody guesses and they've already used their prompt card, then the person to their left gets a turn.
