Description

Girls (individually, in pairs or in patrols) match the cards to create a set of 4 cards for each tradition.

Resources

Cards as in attached resource.
Print in colour if possible. Laminate if this is going to be regularly used activity

Instructions

There are a variety of ways to use this game.

Easy game - have the white cards (heading cards) separated from the other cards. The girls then create the sets.

Alternative - relay with one set of cards per patrol. Each girl in turn runs to the other end of the playing area to collect a card and match with the heading cards

Alternative 2 - as above, but with one set of cards (2 for larger units). Each patrol has only some of the heading cards. If a card not matching one of their headings is collected in error, it needs to be returned on the/her next turn without a new card being collected

Harder game - play as a memory game once the girls are very familiar with the sets of cards

Hint for leaders : also print a set of cards on a single sett (print settings 4 pages per sheet) as a reference
