Description

Go on a hike and run a "sports day" during it.

Ideas are suitable for social distancing.

Tennis ball per person
Spoon per person

Something to score on

Instructions

Hike, and every so often do a race.


100m running

How far can you hop.

Tennis ball and spoon race (and the members keep their ball until the end as they'll use it later - avoids contamination).

Throwing accuracy - use the tennis balls from before - can you hit a tree? Fewest throws wins.

Rolling accuracy - who can roll their ball the closest to a target. Closest wins.

Throwing distance.

Timed walk - get from A to B in as close to two minutes as possible (aka they'll need to count to two minutes in their head and arrive carefully).

Slalom - put cones out that they have to weave around while running. Timed race.

Relay race - as long as you can offset the starting places and people don't run to the opposite people (so place a cone where they run to), this will work socially distanced.

Balance race - how far can you walk with a decent sized stick balancing on your head?
