Instructions

The rope has a knot (initially a reef knot or simple overhand knot, this can become more complicated if it proves to be too easy) tied in the middle. The group hold the rope with half the patrol each side, spaced out. The objective is to untie the knot without anyone letting go of the rope with either hand. You could also try tying the knot from a straight rope, again without letting go of hands.


Another version - human knot - the kids group up, and take hold of two hands so they're knotted together. They then have to unknot themselves without letting go of each other.
