Resources

50-100 Stainless Steel Washers,
String or paracord (reflective if possible),
A few keyrings or other way of marking 5-10 special finds
Torches

Instructions

Take a washer and about 30cm of string or cord.
Pass the string through the hole in the centre and tie off into a loop.
Take the special markers/keyrings and attach to the washer and strings, already made

Before the game starts, take the washers and hang around your area of play, from trees, fences and anywhere else you see that will likely be in reach of the players. Hold back one washer to explain the game. although its ok to make them a little tricky, they need to be sensibly achievable.

Divide the group into small teams, with an adult per group
Tell the group that you've lost a lot of treasure, show them the washer you held back so they know what they're looking for.
Tell them they have to use their torches to spot the treasures and collect them.
The teams will get a point for every treasure they find, and 5 points for the special treasures.
They have 30 minutes to see what they can find.

After 30 minutes recall the group, count up the scores and announce the winner.
