Aim of Badge
To understand our place in space.
This Badge has 6 options of which 4 must be completed.

Introduction
Take part in an activity to learn about the night sky.
Constellations are groupings of stars that humans have made when stargazing. Stars that are in one constellation are in the same direction of space but are all at different distances.
Different cultures see different constellations. The western world uses constellations that are based on ancient Greek and Roman stories.

Instructions
Brownies will create star lanterns, by poking holes through card, wrapping the card into a cylinder and shining a torch through the card.
Variant: Use paper cups. The Brownies will poke holes in the end of the paper cup and shine a torch through. These can be of real constellation patterns (template attached) or made up ones.
