Description

Explore the amazing world of POOP with this great quiz created by a Hampshire Beaver Scout.
It was originally used to help raise money for ToiletTwinning.Org
The quiz is family friendly, easy to use and could be quickly adapted to your local setting.

The focus on POOP is a fun idea that kids love, but the serious message about hygiene poverty is an important one.

Instructions

PREPARE
Play in person or online (screen share on Zoom works well).
If presenting it directly from Google Drive run it in "Present" mode - any videos SHOULD start automatically.

Before running the quiz, edit the link slides to suit your situation.
To edit the slides:
- sign in to a Google Account
- follow the link to the quiz slides
- select FILE > MAKE A COPY > ENTIRE PRESENTATION
- edit away - you are again respectfully asked to credit Leo and 5th Portsmouth Beavers as the source.

On the SEND YOUR ANSWER SHEET NOW pages, imbed your own videos, or link to something suitable from toilettwinning.org or YouTube. If the videos wont play or your prefer not to use them, just have something to fill ±3 minutes.

At the end of each round an adult needs to take a photo of the answer sheet and deposit/send it to a "safe place" (a leader or other adult). You can do this any way you want - WhatsApp works well, but Facebook messenger, SMS or email works equally well. Add a phone number or alternative details you will use to collect snap-shots of people answers (to avoid later cheating). Tailor other parts to suit - including prizes (if any).

Test everything works as you want it.


PLAY THE QUIZ
Every player or team needs a pen and pencil.

Step through the slides in order.

At the end of each round, after each video has played (giving time for the answer sheets to be lodged) go on to give the answers.

Players SELF-MARK their own answer sheets. But cheating is discouraged because they have deposited their answers in advance and they >could< be checked later! (we never have, we take trusting Scouts as a given... but it's the possibility that deters!).

After the final round, have each player/team add up their scores and simply go round and ask each player/team to declare their score (out of 25).

Declare the winner and runners up. Award prizes if you have them.
