Instructions
This method assumes using the ingredients marked #, but feel free to substitute with what you have or to account for any dietary needs.
1. Follow the instructions to make up the cookie dough mix. Preheat the oven.
2. On to a parchment-lined or non-stick baking sheet…
Roll half the dough into walnut-size balls, and then flatten slightly.
Roll the remaining dough into smaller marble-size balls, do not flatten these.
3. Bake the cookie dough following the packet instructions.
4. Cool for about 5 minutes or until firm enough to be transferred to a cooling rack.
5. Cool on the rack completely before frosting.
6. In a large microwavable bowl, microwave the vanilla frosting at 20-second intervals until it can be stirred smooth. (No microwave? Warm in a bowl suspended over a pan of simmering water.)
7. Use a small spot of melted frosting on the bottom of a small cookie and place it toward one edge of a larger cookie. Now spoon some frosting over both cookies, allowing some to spill over the edge of bottom cookie.
8. With the chocolate sprinkles add eyes and an orange sprinkle for a carrot nose.
Place three black chocolate sprinkles “buttons” on the bottom cookie.
9. Use writing icing to draw on arms. Sprinkle with snowflake cake decorations etc
10. Allow to dry completely. Serve and enjoy. Store in an air tight container.
11. Don't forget to help clear up and wash up afterwards << this part counts towards your badges too!
I drew a diagram that might help!
Mix it up! You could decorate just one larger cookie in the same manner (no smaller cookie on top), to represent a completely melted snowman.
