Materials will vary for each Unit and depending on whether the meeting is taking place face-to face or virtually.

Introduction:
Explain to the Brownies that World Book Day is taking place on 4 March this year.

Instructions:
1. The Brownies are going to design a poster displaying the characters from one of their favourite books. If they don’t have a favourite book, they can pick a fairy-tale.
2. Distribute the supplies to each Six and allow them to decorate their poster. If the meeting is taking place online, the Brownies can have their posters completed before the meeting and show the rest of the Unit during the online meeting.
3. The Brownies can then discuss, face-to-face or virtually, their favourite book with each other.

Some questions to get the conversation started could be
- What is the title of the book?
- What is the book about?
- What characters are in the book?
- Where does the story take place?
- Is it a funny/sad/happy book?

4. For extra excitement, the Brownies could also dress up as their favourite book character.
