Description

Beavers need to use teamwork and problem solving skills to solve the morse code message and break out of their breakout room.

Online meeting platform with breakout room capacity

Instructions

Before the session, provide each Beaver with appended sheets A - B but ask them not to look at them
Split Beavers in to groups of three and assign them to their own breakout room
Each Beaver within each group must take only one of the following roles:
- Morse code machine Their job is to read out the dots and dashes for each word from Sheet B
- Receiver Their job is to work out what letter is being called from Sheet A and call out the letter to the Code
Breaker
- Code Breaker Their job is to write the letters down on Sheet C and decipher the message
Once the team work out the message (answers on sheet D), they will realise they need to come back to the main meeting room
First team back wins
Set as long as you think they need to complete the task, but put a timer on the breakout rooms to add a level of urgency
