Description

Mardi Gras Mask

Resources

- crayons (or other colouring supplies)
- scissors
- glue
- a hole punch
- some string

Instructions

Introduction

In preparation: Copy the mask template with all the extra pieces onto card and print a card for each Ladybird to colour in.

Instructions

Give each Ladybird a card with the mask template and extra pieces and let them colour them in however they like. You could remind them to include the special colours of Mardi Gras - green, purple and gold.

When colouring is done, cut out each mask and the extra pieces and let the girls decorate the masks further by sticking on the extra pieces they’ve coloured in. There are feathers, pretend gems and flowers that the girls can use to make their own unique Mardi Gras mask. Leaders, if you have the materials, you could give the girls some craft feathers or flowers or little gems and other fun embellishments to really make their masks sparkle.

Use the hole punch and add string to make the mask ready to wear.
