Roll A Shamrock
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
A St Patrick’s Day version of Beetle Drive
Resources
Paper, pen or pencil and a die (or each Brownie brings their own if playing as part of a virtual meeting)
A sketch of a Smiling Shamrock maybe helpful, depending on the group.
Instructions
Pre assign a number to each part of the shamrock, for example
Roll 1 for right leaf
Roll 2 for top leaf
Roll 3 left leaf
Roll 4 for stalk
Roll 5 for eyes
Roll 6 for smile
(Note, Brownies find it easy to draw each leaf in a heat shape.)
The Brownies take it in turns to roll the dice. They draw the part that they ‘win’ with each roll. If they roll the same number twice, they have to pass. The first to finish the shamrock wins.
If playing with a large group, you can split them up into their sixes and let each six either roll at the same time (if on virtual platform) or play the game separately in their own six.
It is not easy to estimate time here, but it can be repeated or speeded up by allowing more dice to roll per Brownie.
