Instructions
Items delivered to Beavers to use on Easter Zoom.
Take out the card (all have different colours).
See attachment which will help you to follow the instructions when planning and to show the Beavers how their rabbit should look.
- Write 'Happy Easter' at the top.
-Then turn the card sideways and draw a number 8 so when they turn the card back the 8 has fallen over. (about 1/3 way up).
- Next put a arch/small hill on one of the circles of the 8 and then another (if the first is big put the next one inside so smaller).
- Repeat this on the other side of the 8 circle, now colour some black dots in each depending on where yours is looking.
- Put dots inside the circle of the 8 on both sides and draw 3 straight lines coming out from the dots past the 8 circle edge like whiskers.
- Now draw a big arch/ mountain that goes from one side of the 8 up and then to the other side; that’s our rabbit's head (not too big - remember to leave room for the ears).
- Almost finished! He needs ears; I like one pointed and one floppy so for the pointed one draw a tall triangle with a rounded point or candle flame on one side of your head and colour a smaller dark patch in the middle about half way up.
- For the other ear draw a line a little taller than the dark patch on the other side of the head and put a small line across the top so it looks like a tall r or a upside down L facing away from the other ear.
Then draw a diagonal line away from the first straight line we drew and close the ear by drawing a triangle so the line goes to the top of the first line.
Now put a line in from the head (to match the width of the other ear) up to the last line you drew to form the triangle. Then colour a dark patch in the middle so both ears are the same.
- Don’t forget the nose; that is just a small semi-circle in the middle of the two circles of the 8 where they cross over at the top, then colour it in.
- Finally the teeth; this is a house or a rocket shape, the top point of which is the bottom of where the 8 lines cross. So draw the box bit, from the middle outside line of the 8 straight down across like a capital L and back up to the 8 or bunny cheek on the other side.
One line down the middle from the rocket point to the base of the L will form the 2 teeth.
Now later you can colour him in and write inside to mum and dad, or grandad maybe or all the family, to wish them a Happy Easter from you!
