Description

Beavers hut for Easter items around their house whilst carrying a ball on a spoon.

Resources

Ball, chocolate coin (delivered to houses)
Dessert spoon
Easter Rabbit Head (made earlier or could substitute with another item)
List of items to screen share - see attached.

Instructions

Parents are to take the card from the Beaver (made earlier - see Easter Rabbit Head) and the choc coin out of the pack (delivered to houses) and position them where we asked in the text. (Bed - coin and outside door - card.)
Also take the ball from the pack.
Tell the Beavers that they are going to balance the ball on the dessert spoon and collect the items shown on the screen share when we say 'go' .
Tell the Beavers: Remember - too slow and you won’t win but too fast and the ball will fall and you might trip and hurt yourself, so can you judge the right speed to win....but first the
rules!
This is also a memory game so you can do this by remembering all the items to collect or as many as you can (no cheating parents and shouting out items or helping at this point!) or you could bring each one back and see the next item from the list. Each time you drop one or a few items off. While collecting the items the egg (ball in this case) needs to be balancing on the spoon. No putting it down or back to the start you go!
Remember:
-no parents' help except words of encouragement
- all use same size spoon
- if you drop the ball put it back on and carry on
- all cameras and mics on for the race
- item can’t be used twice (e.g. the hat/ bonnet if yellow cannot also be used as something yellow)
- If you hold the ball or put it down leave the item where it is and go back to the computer/iPad etc. and carry on from there back to where you left the items.
Remember we will be looking for the 1st egg winner but you only win if you follow all the rules.

Items to collect (let's first read the items together give you a minute to think about the order and what you will collect for each item).

1) This is a choice - you can get a bag/ basket to use to carry your items in or go straight to point 2 and run back each time you have an item.
2) A carrot
3) Something yellow
4) An Easter bonnet or hat
5) Something that makes you happy or smile
6) The piece of chocolate/ sweet from on your bed
7) Rabbit Card at the outside door
8) The Final item - something you think has something to do with Easter (tell us why when we have all finished)
Be careful to watch where you are going; no running on stairs.

Are you all ready, good luck, have fun.
Marks, Get Set, Go!

First one back with all the items wins the first egg - if no help from parents and they have followed the rules!
