Description

This is a game I made up to mark the WWI centenary anniversary in 2018, but has become a favourite with my Beavers. You can choose any two sides of warring factions worldwide or make up your own warring factions. The Beavers get to throw soft balls at each other, designed to hit, in a safe environment. It's a very active game & one that is requested time & time again.

Resources

Two bags of ball-pool balls or multiple other soft balls that won't hurt when they hit.
Two or three benches to divide your Hut / Hall in half width-ways.

Instructions

Divide the Hut / Hall across its width with benches or similar.
Divide the Beavers into two teams & call them by their faction names : Germans / English for example (as in the example of WWI).
Give each team a bag of balls & instruct them to choose their first ball.

The Beavers throw the balls to hit - only chest & down.
If they are hit on one arm, they hold that arm behind their backs for the rest of the game.
If they're hit on one leg, they hop on the other leg for the rest of the game.
If they're hit on both arms, both legs or anywhere on the chest / torso, they die a lingering death where they are & get in the way of everyone else.
If they're hit on the head, the Beaver who threw the hitting ball is disqualified.
The game continues, Beavers scooping up discarded / thrown balls, until everyone from one team is "dead."
Then the balls are redistributed, the teams swap sides & the game continues again.
