Measuring with a tape measure to see how far they've jumped

Resources

Hula hoops/ cones

Tape measure

Paper and pens to write down distance/ phone notes

Instructions

A hula hoop for each young person
With the hoop on the floor get them to jump in and out of the hoop when instructed
Encouraging jumping with both feet together seeing how far they can jump out of their hoop

A leader then uses a tape measure to see how far they have jumped

Can make it competitive by the young people being in teams and adding up their distances together, team with the furthest distance in total wins
