Description
Socially distanced team-building activity using crate-stacking crates.
Resources
A collection of red/green/black crate stacking crates (or edit the instructions!).
Optionally -bamboos for handling the crates.
The instructions printed out and cut up so each member can have their instruction.
Instructions
Each member is given one instruction and they cannot tell anyone what their instruction is - they'll basically only be able to stop people doing other things when their instruction gets jeopardised.
The aim is to work as a team to build a structure out of crates that meets all the requirements from each instruction.
We're going to get the scouts to move the crates by sticking bamboos through them so each scout will be given two sanitised bamboos to use to lift crates up without touching them.
The final result should basically be a stair-case with colours as per the instructions.
Instructions to give out:
Each layer must have a different number of crates to the layer below it.
A red crate must not be placed horizontally next to a black crate.
Green crates cannot be placed on top of another green crate.
Each horizontal layer must have exactly one red crate.
The final structure should be four crates high.
A black crate must always be touching a green crate (horizontally, vertically or diagonally).
