Description

Make a habitat out of a cardboard box


Resources

Cardboard box - shoe box type with lid that can be removed.
Twigs and Stick, leaves moss ext.
Knife to make holes in boxes
Tarpaulin

Instructions

Ask all beavers to bring in a box. (have some spare just in case)
If you can gather fresh sticks, moss and leaves from your garden just before hand it will probably have some insects already at home. Or if you have an area near by take the beavers out collecting.
empty twigs and things onto tarpaulin can you see anything moving!
Leaders to cut a small flap in the side of each box - this can be kept in place until they get home to stop things falling out.
Instruct beavers to use twigs etc to build a nice home for small animals, The can use their imagination and create 'beds' and furniture etc..
Instruct them to take them home and leave them somewhere in the garden, then in a few weeks take a look and see if anyone has moved in!
