Description
Activity where children can make art of an Indian elephant and share facts about Indian elephants. For FOSNZ Sangam Challenge badge.
Resources
- Two sheets of paper in different colours for each child
- Elephant fact sheet or book about Indian elephants/Indian animals
- Pens
- Scissors
- Gluesticks
Instructions
1. Have each child draw an elephant on the back of one piece of paper.
2. Cut this out, turn it over so pen lines are hidden, and glue onto the other piece of paper.
3. Name each piece of art with child's name.
4. Draw designs on the elephant like in the attached pictures.
5. Read aloud or have children read (depending on age/ability) the facts about the elephant. Or read a book about elephants before starting.
6. Each child chooses one or two facts to write on their art.
