Aim of Badge
One of the targets of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 12 is to ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature by 2030. There are 6 activities in this badge. Activity 1 is compulsory. Complete any three of the remaining parts 2-6.

Introduction
Activity No. 3: An interactive story similar to Granny’s Shopping Basket, to help the Brownies learn about what happens in the production and disposal of plastic bottles.

Instructions
1. Ask the Brownies in their Sixes to number off from first person through to the last person in each Six.
2. Hand all the number 1’s a key word from the Story. Hand all the 2’s another key word etc. until everyone has a key word. For older Brownies, you can tell them their word rather than use a key word on a card.
3. Read the story and when you read out a key word the girls with that key word must run to the other end of the room and back to their Six. You can keep track of which is the fastest if you wish.
4. When you say the word Recycle, they must join up to the rest of their Six and the entire Six run together.
5. Discuss with the girls what they think about the impact of their actions and can they think of any solutions to the problems brought up.
