Instructions

Everyone should take two pieces of paper and fold them in half width ways to make an A5 book.
The person leading the activity can choose what they would like everyone to put in their book. Here are some ideas of what could be included: self portraits, handprints and footprints, how tall am I? fingerprints, all about me, future me.

The person leading the activity should lay out all the equipment for the chosen activities in separate areas of the meeting space.
Everyone should move around the space filling in parts of their book with the relevant materials.
Adults can be in charge of a particular activity or can be on hand to help everyone with filling in the books. This will depend on the difficulty of the activities chosen.
Everyone should be encouraged to fill in as much of their own book as possible.

Once everyone has finished filling in their book, the person leading the activity should ask if anyone would like to share their book with the group.
If there is time everyone can get into smaller groups to share their books.

We've included some questions to help you reflect:
This activity supported everyone to build friendships by communicating all about themselves.

After filling in their book ask everyone to think about –

Did you find anyone else who was similar to you?
Did you find anyone who was very different to you?
