Instructions
The person leading the activity should tell everyone that they are going to be discussing carnival.
Ask the group if anyone has seen a carnival, this could be going to watch a carnival, seeing one on TV or reading about one in a book.
Encourage everyone to share their experiences of carnival, thinking about what they saw, heard and tasted if they went along in person. Remember to unmute the person talking and mute them again if the group is too noisy.
Using the carnival facts and questions, the person leading the activity should ask everyone what they think makes a carnival, a carnival.
Some people might not feel comfortable talking and prompts might be needed to get the conversation going. Keep the questions open and positive.
As a group everyone should decide if they were going to throw a carnival what they would like it to celebrate.
Using the pens and paper the group should draw what everyone at their carnival could wear, what food they would serve and what type of music they would play.
The person leading the activity should ask if anyone would like to share what they have designed.
