Instructions

Refer to page 7 in the WAGGGS #WriteHerStory activity pack for full instructions, including a way to play at home or virtually.

As part of Activity 2, Headlines Heroes, this is a game to play to have your girls brainstorm what they want the headlines to say about girls, and about what they really care about

Before you play the game talk about the purpose of a headline and what does a headline do?
- Grab our attention
- Hook us into the story
- Leave us wanting to know more

As the game is played, each time you land on a new space you have to create a headline about girls using the word or headline starter you land on. Words are the blue spaces, and headline starters are the pink spaces. With Pippins and Brownies it can be a group effort to come up with the headline when someone lands on a space.

Record down the headlines the girls come up with as you play the game, so that they can choose which one they like the best and would like to share with others. You can use the headline as it is, or adapt it to want you want.

It would be ideal for an adult to play the game with the girls to support the discussion and brainstorming of headlines.
