To allow the Cubs to use different types of cooker and to cook using certain ingredients. To try all types of cooking and to taste the results.

Resources

Trangia cookers, Gas cookers, Camping Gaz Cookers, Hexamine cooker, Ingredients x 5, water, cutlery, utensils, gazeboes x 2 & Ration packs.

Instructions

Set up the cookers and explain how each type works safely and the dangers. Each six will be given the same ingredients and must cook a meal using only those ingredients. An adult will oversee each six for safety and every Cub must try their creation (oh goody!!). Also, they will all be able to sample meals from a ration pack.
