What makes a good patrol leader
Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK
Description
A troop discussion of what makes a good Patrol Leader to help facilitate choosing new patrol leader and building the skills of patrol leaders.
Resources
Clipboards, paper, pens
Whiteboard and pens
Instructions
Small groups of 3 or 4 scouts are given pens and paper and the task of deciding what makes a good patrol leader.
They should have 5 minutes to quickly come up with a few ideas in their groups. Join 2 or 3 smaller groups to make several larger groups to discuss their ideas for a further 5 minutes.
All groups come back together to discuss as a troop the ideas they had. Note all the ideas on to a whiteboard or larger paper sheets.
Can the ideas they've had be grouped together? Could those groups be used to make into the word PATROL as a mnemonic?
See attached "Congratulations on becoming a patrol leader" PDF for a crib sheet (Couldn't find link to it on Scout Shop / Website any more)
