Cat and Mouse Game

Description

Cat and mouse is a game that can be played by all sections. It is a game that’s very simple, and all that is needed is 2 walls. It is a good game to get the young people moving during the meeting. As well as focusing on their reaction speed and also throwing a bit of competitiveness in there too.

Set Up
First of all, your section should be split into pairs. One being a cat, and one being a mouse. The pairs then sit on the floor, an equal distance away from each wall, with their legs straight and their feet touching their partners. With all of the cats being on one side, and the mice on the other.

Play
The basic premise of the game is that when “Cat” is called, the cats must try to catch the mouse, while the mouse tries to retreat and reach their wall without being caught.
And when “Mouse” is called, the mice must try and catch the cat in the same way.

For the younger sections, my thoughts are it could also be called “Tom and Jerry” to work in the same way.
