Description
Using leftover pumpkin seeds from carving Halloween pumpkins to turn into tasty snacks.

Instructions
In sixers or small groups
Discuss the basics of hygiene and why it is important, including hand washing, germs, food storage, also safety in the kitchen.
Discuss healthy eating and use of leftovers.
Get children to wash hands
Scoop out the seeds from the pumpkins to be carved.
Using sieves and colanders wash the seeds and pat dry with paper towel.
Get groups to add 4 tbsp of olive oil per 80g of seeds, 2 tsp of cumin powder and 1tsp smoked paprika. Mix well.
Spread on baking tray.
Bake at 180 for 10 minutes.
Once cold, serve into paper bags to take home.
