Description
Children will walk around the hall freely but need to keep an eye on the Lead Person who will deliver the instructions for the children to follow in any order they like. Some will be Just Visual and some will also be verbal….this will teach the children to pay attention to their surroundings even if they are occupied with something else.
Practice Cub Promise.
Keema to do promise in full with the Children: 2 mins
Activity: 25 mins
Poppy Making run by Brown Beaver
Tidy up Time – Children to help with this. 5 mins
Drink Break: 5 mins
Come Back together and talk about what we have done and find out what the children know about Poppies and what they represent.
Game 2: 15 mins
Team Quiz
Children will be put into teams and given a sound to answer with ie bell
Children will need to confer within their team and agree and answer one person to give the final answer to the lead.
Finishing:
Give each child an ask me what I did sticker to encourage them to talk about what they did with their parents.
Give each child a printout with the information about Remembrance Day and what it represents.
This they can take home along with a copy of the Cubs promise and Laminated Badges sheet.
Please Ensure Parents also are given a copy of medical consent forms and Parents Guide to Cubs Scouts. This can be done as you getting the parents to sign their child back out and let the know how their child got on during the session.
