Guy Fawkes Game

Report Copyright Infringement View in OSM UK

Description

Based on the game 'Capture the Keys' this game is reversed.
One Beaver/Cub is 'Guy Fawkes', blindfolded.
With the lights off, the other Beavers /Cubs creep up, to place a stick of dynamite under the chair (or in front) of Guy Fawkes.
If Guy Fawkes hears a sound, he/she points the torch in their direction. If the light shines on a Beaver/Cub, they are out.
Can be played in rounds.

Resources

Blindfolds
(Beavers use their own scarves or provide individual blindfolds - do not share).

Torch

Sticks of dynamite
(these can be made using cups or toilet roll, with bells or marbles inside and wrapped/tied with tissue paper)

Chair or bench (but not necessary)

Instructions

One Beaver/Cub is 'Guy Fawkes' and sits on the chair (or on the ground) blindfolded.
Turn off the lights in the room and everyone keeps quiet.
Lay out some sticks of dynamite between Guy Fawkes and the rest of the Beavers/Cubs.
The other Beavers/Cubs have to creep up, pick up a stick of dynamite and without making any noise place it under the chair (or in front) of Guy Fawkes. The sticks of dynamite contain things that move - marbles, bells etc. So this makes it harder not to make a sound.
If Guy Fawkes hears a noise, he/she points the torch in their direction. If the light shines on a Beaver/Cub, they are out for that round.
Beavers/Cubs can take it turns to be Guy Fawkes, but don't share blindfolds.
The game can also be played outside if it is dark.
