Description
Ahead of time, hold a troop forum to decide the Code of Conduct for the coming term/year (do on a rolling basis so that new Scouts always get the opportunity to participate.
Produce a master copy of the Code of Conduct and then one copy for each Scout
Indoors activity.
Resources
A4 paper, and a selection of:
crayons, pens, felt tips. rubber stamps, paints (non-toxic) for finger painting or palm prints, gel pens, glitter, coloured magazine pages to cut out shapes from - whatever you either have or want to use.
If you are using coloured pages, you will also need scissors (safe) and glue sticks (non-toxic).
Covid precautions:
Make sure all materials have either not been used for a week or are wiped with antibac wipes ahead of time. Aim to have sufficient that they do not need to share resources.
Light bulbs, lamps, plugs, screwdrivers, things to polish, irons, ironing boards, buttons, needles, fabric. hot chocolate, mugs, milk,
Instructions
Hand out the copies of the Code of Conduct, quick read through to make sure they all agree.
Give the Scouts a set amount of time to decorate it using the resources you have to hand.
You can even incorporate this into a Skills Challenge multi-base carousel of activities as one of the bases.
+ make a hot drink + wire a plug + change a light bulb + iron a necker + sew on a button + polish e.g. a brass lamp + wash up
Work on 10 minutes per challenge and break down into small groups
