Description
Adopt a Guide Dog Puppy and follow it's growth and development.
Resources
Puppy sponsor certificate, update photos and information
Laptop if showing video clips
Instructions
Sponsor a guide dog puppy, and introduce the children using video, picture and certificate.
Have a Log Chew discuss with the children about what is a disability, what sort of disability needs a guide dog and why; what the sponsorship does; how long it will take for the puppy to grow and be ready to go and help someone.
Each update that is sent to the sponsor-er, approximately 3-4 times a year, is shared with the children including any new photos, videos and information; then talk about how much the puppy has grown and what it has been doing.
Display the puppy picture on your notice board, for a reminder to the children, a talking point for them and their grownups and to show other visitors to your locations the good we are doing.
