Setting and assessing the Leaders Challenge element of the Personal Challenge Award for Cubs

Instructions

1. Leaders consider what challenge to set specific Cubs.
2. Share these with the Cubs (perhaps hand out slips).
3. Over the next few sessions, remind Cubs of their challenge and regularly "check-in" to see how the challenge is progressing.

Relevant challenges might be:
• Look after a new Cub for half a term
• Talk about a topic you are interested in with an adult you don’t know very well
• Bring the right equipment to Cubs every week for a term
• Show good behaviour at Cubs for three weeks in a row
• Try something new that you are a bit nervous about
• Go to a District fun day and talk to some other Cubs you don’t know
• Try all of the food on Cub camp
• Learn how to tie a knot
• Join in with 3 different team games
• Demonstrate being a good sixer / seconder
• Demonstrate a skill at Cubs
