Information about an activity planned for next term that doesn't have a date yet

Instructions

1. Find out when the nearest full/new moon is and use this to align the maramataka wheel with the current date.
2. Discuss with girls what the maramataka calendar represents: in te ao Māori, each phase of the moon affects us in different ways (refer to the attached guide)
3. Highlight/mark the days of the week the unit meetings will be on the wheel and discuss the activity they are trying to plan. As an example, our unit is planning a night scavenger hunt (high energy), a pop star party evening (high energy) and a spa/meditation night (low energy).
4. Let the girls choose which moon phase they think will be most suitable and work out what the date will be.
