Instructions
Instructions based assuming a patrol of five Scouts.
Before the patrol approach the area, all the sandwich making equipment and decoys should be stored out of sight in a shopping bag or similar.
Sandwich preparation area = a table.
Players:
2 Scouts who are "blind" sandwich makers. They can talk.
1 Scout who is mute and unable to touch any players or equipment. They can move around.
2 Scouts who cannot see the sandwich prep area. They can talk.
There are two chairs / a bench or an area to sit that is around 5 meters away from the sandwich preparation area. They are placed so that those sitting there cannot see the sandwich prep area, but they can talk to those who are in the area.
Once the Scouts arrive, the first task is to blindfold two of the Scouts, using their scarves and seat two "with sight" Scouts in the seated area.
The remaining "with sight" Scout gets to read the attached instructions out loud. But only those instructions. From that point onwards he is then mute and unable to touch anyone or anything.
They have five minutes from the time they start to read.
The aim is to make two sandwiches. The blind sandwich makers will need to be guided. But the only sighted Scout cannot talk or touch, so will need to use gestures to the distant Scouts in ordered to direct the sandwich makers.
