Description

Play golf anywhere without clubs, balls or an official course!
Members work in pairs to direct each other between the tee and the flag - but with the 'ball' blindfolded!

Resources

An even number of participants and blindfolds (neckers work well).
Markers for tees and holes (optional)

Instructions

PREPARE
Across whatever space you are in, mark out a series of 'holes', each with a start point (tee) and a finishing point (hole/flag). Have as many or as few as you like. The tee could be anything small - a stick, beanbag, cone. The finishing point should be a circle anything from a few inches upwards (a paper plate skewered to the ground with a pencil or a hoola hoop both work nicely). Each 'hole' can be anything from 5 metres to 50 metres - depending on the space you are using.

TEE OFF
In pairs, one player is the 'golfer' the other the 'ball'. The ball covers their eyes with a blindfold.
The golfer aims the ball towards the flag and tells them how many steps to take. This counts as one 'shot'.
The ball takes the instructed number of steps straight ahead and stops.
If they are at the 'flag' (inside the circle) the round is over.
If they are not at the flag, the golfer adjusts the ball's direction and has another 'shot'.

PUTTING
When near the flag, the golfer can direct the ball as before then tell them "PUTT X STEPS" and the ball moves forward with fairy footsteps / heel to toe.

OBSTACLES
To make the game more challenging you could add a 'bunker'. An area marked on the ground in some way becomes the bunker. If the ball lands in the bunker, the golfer points them in the desired direction and tells the ball to 'jump'. The ball takes ONE jump forward. If they clear the bunker, play continues as before. Otherwise, the golfer & ball repeat the 'jump' action until they are free.

You could add a 'dog-leg' to your course - a bend or corner the golfer/ball must navigate to reach the flag.

SCORES
As in normal golf, the number of 'shots' is counted between the tee and the flag.
The team with the LEAST shots can be declared the overall winner.
