Tie-dying t-shirts

cotton t-shirts, stones, string, scissors

bowls, buckets, aprons, rubber gloves, rubber bands, coat hangers, washing line

Instructions

- allocate t-shirt to each cubs & attach name
- leader to demonstrate activity
Take t-shirt, fold or roll, or spiral. Use elastic bands/string to secure and provide the pattern/ cubs to wrap & knot pieces of string around stone
Prepare the dye as per instructions. Place t-shirt into bowl of dye, leave for amount of time per instructions. Remove from dye and dry. Follow dye instructions for setting the colour.
