Description

Badge awards for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts taking part in a mini-marathon (or kid's race; junior run, junior race, mini race, mini run, mini marathon, kid's marathon, family run, park run, fun run etc) - including where they are raising money for a good cause. Great Run (North, South, Bristol etc) would be covered.

Instructions

Take part in public running event for young people - for instance the Mini Great North Run, or the Junior Great South Run etc. It could be a park run event. Any running event can count.

Typically you'd expect entrants (3-8 years) to take on a 1.5k run, while runners (9-15 years) can take on a 2.5k distance , or 4k for older or more experienced runners. This is just a guide.

Optionally, the young person can raise money through sponsorship for a good cause of their choice.

Select the appropriate badges when completed.
