 Lollipop Sticks

Introduction
The Brownies will learn to tie the Reef Knot and understand it use.

Reef Knot Challenge

Instructions
Show the Brownies how to tie the Reef Knot.
• Give each Brownie a piece of cord and lollipop stick
• Brownie tucks lollipop stick into her shoe
• Unit stands in 2 lines facing partner
• Leader calls out “go” and everyone ties a reef knot
• The first Brownie in each pair to tie the knot correctly is given her partner’s lollipop stick
• Brownies with 2 sticks call out “2” and finds a new partner with 2 sticks and has an another turn with her new partner
• Continue finding new partner until Leader call end of game

Brownie with no stick calls out none and finds a new partner.
The winner of this contest goes to Leader to get another stick and now calls out “1”

Debrief
Using this method ensures that the quicker Brownies are competing against each other
