Instructions
1) For this activity you will need playing cards, some blindfolds and space to move around in.
2) Give everyone a playing card. They must keep that card secret and cannot show it to anyone
3) Tell everyone that they will need to assemble in to four groups according to their suit. No one is allowed to talk, so this must be done using non-verbal communication.
4) Now give everyone a new card and a blindfold. Whilst blindfolded, everyone must repeat the same process, gathering into four groups based on their suit. Again, only non-verbal communication methods are allowed.
5) If you have time, see if the group can now get themselves into order of their cards in their suit (i.e. Ace – King), whilst still blindfolded. Remember that not all cards will be in the game (unless playing with 52 people!).
6) The quickest team to complete the activity wins.
Adapting the Activity: This game benefits from medium to large group sizes. Consider getting leaders involved or working with another age group (i.e. Company). If still working with a small group, only play with two of the suits in the playing cards, just don’t tell the group which two.
