Description

Very simple and quick game to help learn each other's names while playing catch.
Would probably be suitable for squirrels.

Resources

Large sponge ball/sponge dice (the large sponge dice is easier to retrieve after it escapes)

Instructions

Stand in a circle.
Stress that the beavers need to be quick passing the ball on.

1st round - say your own name, pass the ball to anyone.
They then say their name and pass the ball on.
Keep going until everyone has had the ball at least twice.

2nd round - say the name of someone else and throw them the ball.
Keep going until everyone has had the ball at least twice.

Alternatives:
- to make this game easier to start with - start with extra rounds passing the ball directly to the person next to you. This encourages quicker passing.
- play the game sitting in a circle, the ball should escape less often!
