Matchstick Pictionary

Description
A creative twist on a modern classic. Instead of paper and pens, use matchsticks to form the shapes. This version means any child who struggles with drawing can still do well and it challenges everyone to think outside the box when needing to make curved shapes with straight lines.
Resources
1 box of matches per team (they don't have to be struck)
A list of things to draw
Instructions
The group is divided into teams. A leader with the list of things to draw is outside, preferably an equal distance from each group!
One team member from each team goes to the leader and is given a shape to make with the matchsticks.
When a team member guess is the shape, the next person goes to the leader and tells them the shape they just guessed
The leader will then give them a new shape. The team that wins is the first to complete all the shapes!
Advisory Notes:
In smaller rooms, some teams may overhear a guessed answer from another team. To avoid this, mix up the order so no team is drawing the same one - at least at the start! Then just cycle through the list, so each team will eventually draw the same shapes, just in a different order. To keep track, each team must come up and say the team name as well as the guessed answer. Then you can give them a new one, but also know who's drawn what!
Try to make the first few shapes straightforward, as it might take them a bit of time to work out how the matches can be used. And remember, a simple thing with paper and pen is not necessarily a simple thing with matches! A car is one thing, a cloud quite another!
