See attachment and discuss how you like. Some ideas:
- Discuss that Beavers are the same age as in the UK.
- Show the Beaver uniform from Norway. Explain they wear the same uniform as the Scouts in Norway. Can the children spot any differences? The Beavers don't wear their uniforms all of the time - this might be partially because the weather can change so much in Norway and when it is very cold, they wear lots of layers.
- Try out some of the opening/closing ceremony songs and gestures. Talk about the three candles they might light and what these represent.
- Ask the Beavers to remind the group about their own Promise. Share the Norwegian version. Discuss any differences. Scouts have similar values around the world but they aren't exactly the same.
- Print off the list of Beaver badges from the UK and Norway. Can the Beavers match similar ones up? Which ones don't match up with one another? 'Which badges from Norway are similar to your own?'

(I did try contacting Norwegian Scouts to ask if there were illustrations/audio/photo/video of the songs and actions. In Dec 2022 they said they did not have any but would look to make some.)
