Instructions
Based on Michelle Champken's activity 'Flip the Pancake (memory game)' (https://www.onlinescoutmanager.co.uk/programme.php?action=view&id=42393), so very grateful to Michelle, but unfortunately I was unable to add the resources I've made to that entry.
Prepare by printing the pancakes off. Stick one plain side to the back of each of the toppings, to make a double-sided pancake. Lamination optional but makes them great for flipping and re-use!
Split players into teams. Have all pairs of pancakes laid out upside down in a grid, topping-side down. It's easier if they are on a soft surface like a tablecloth, as the spatula goes under more easily.
Players from each team take it in turns to flip two pancakes with the spatula. Other players from their team may advise them about their own memory.
If the pancakes are a match they keep the pair for their team (put on team plate). If not, they turn them back over (in the same spot).
The game ends when:
1) every player has had at least one go AND
2) one team has more pairs of pancakes than the other.
The team with the most pairs is the winner.
To make this easier use fewer pairs.
