Description
Celebrated in alternate years in late February, the Festival of the Dancing Masks (or FESTIMA) celebrates traditional beliefs and showcases a wide variety of traditional masks. Six African nations take part: Benin, Ivory Coast, Mali, Togo, Senegal and 50 of Burkina Faso's villages. It is held in the town of Dedougou in Burkina Faso in West Africa.
Cubs can learn about the festival, make their own masks using traditional African masks for inspiration and create their own dance set to traditional African music.
