Team challenge for a patrol to set up a hammock with all but the patrol leader blindfolded

Resources

Two trees eight/twelve foot apart
One hammock
Blindfolds (or Scout scarves)
Stop watch

Instructions

Set up the hammock so the Scouts know what it is supposed to look like. Then release it and stuff it back in it's stuff sack.

Scouts have the time it takes for you to put it in it's stuff sack to come up with a strategy.

Patrol leader to remain sighted. All other Scouts are blindfolded.

Patrol leader needs to direct the Scouts in order to put up the hammock. They have five minutes to complete the task.

Reflection on what they would do differently if they tried it again.

Plus time for the hammock to be made safe and for the Scouts to try it out.
